The chanting of Hare Krsna came straight from the spiritual world. Srial Prabhuada explains, “So we should always be confident that this chanting is not a vibration of this material world. This is not vibration of material world.” In his song Hari Hari Bifale, Narottama Dasa Thakur wrote, golokera prema-dhana hari-nama-sankirtana. “The treasure of divine love in Goloka Vrindavana has descended as the congregational chanting of Lord Hari’s holy names.” Hence, the Mahamantra comes from the spiritual world.

This is why chanting Hare Krsna is different from chanting Coca-Cola. Coca-Cola is a material name and hence doesn’t summon any energy. However, the Hare Krishna Mahamantra is imported from the spiritual world and is a spiritual sound vibration, and as a result, one can chant it continuously. This is confirmed by Srila Prabhupada “But they can practically see that we can go on chanting day and night, still we shall not become tired, but any other material name you take, after chanting three times you will feel tired. That is the proof.”
