Notes on SB 1.1.1:

  • SB 1.1.1 makes clear that there are such things as illusory representations in this material world

  • It gives you the absolute criterion for judging whether something is real or false or illusory:

    • Whatever is not in relationship to Krsna (or appears to not have a relationship with Krsna) is not going to be eternal, it is temporary

    • Our hopes to hold on to the material world and make a permanent situation out if it is illusory and are false

    • The material world being permanent - that is a false perception

  • Real: anything that is having a relationship with the Lord

  • False: the perception that the material world is permanent

  • Illusion: thinking that you can make a permanent situation within the material world
